Cost Accountant

The Management Accountant will play a key part in enhancing financial accuracy and supporting business profitability through detailed cost management. Key responsibilities include:

• Refining and maintaining the costing structure for produced and sourced items
• Examining variances in materials, labour, and overheads, spotting patterns and suggesting improvements
• Collaborating with operations and technical teams on new product assessments, offering cost evaluations and pricing guidance
• Establishing and revising standard costs and material bills (BOMs).
• Verifying stock values and aligning records between finance and production systems
• Tracking manufacturing results to uphold cost precision and operational effectiveness
• Contributing to yearly planning and projections with cost data and variance insights
• Aiding efforts to boost cost transparency, profit review, and control measures

The successful applicant will bring a solid foundation in cost accounting within a production setting, combined with strong analytical capabilities. Essential attributes include:

• CPA or
• CA status advantageous
• At least
• 3-5 years in a comparable position
• Degree in accounting, finance or business related degree
• Prior experience in cost accounting from a manufacturing background
• Sound understanding of local accounting principles and tax obligations
• Advanced skills in data analysis and issue resolution
