Accounts Payable Officer

The Role:

This is a hands-on opportunity to deliver immediate value by resolving a backlog of high-volume accounts payable reconciliations and restoring process accuracy within a supportive team environment. The successful candidate will take ownership of critical reconciliation activities while building strong working relationships across the organisation. Clear existing backlog of accounts payable reconciliations and restore timely processing Identify and resolve discrepancies such as incorrect purchase order numbers, missing items and incorrect pricing Perform high-volume reconciliations using large ERP systems, with training provided on internal tools Engage directly with stores and stakeholders by phone to clarify details and gather required information Ensure data integrity across financial records through systematic review and follow-up Deliver full-time onsite support to enable seamless collaboration and knowledge sharing

Candidate Requirements:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-focused accounts payable reconciliation professional who thrives in high-volume environments and enjoys making a tangible difference through accurate, timely work.

  • Strong communication skills and ERP system experience are essential to succeed in this collaborative, impact-driven role.
  • Proven experience handling high-volume accounts payable reconciliations and backlog clearance
  • Strong proficiency with large ERP platforms such as Oracle or SAP (Oracle highly regarded)
  • Excellent communication skills with confidence making outbound calls to clarify issues and compile accurate records Sharp eye for detail to detect and correct pricing errors, missing items and documentation mismatches Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented, supportive workplace Immediate availability and willingness to work full-time onsite for optimal support and engagement
Remuneration and Benefits:

Competitive rate of $40 per hour plus superannuation
