Head of IT and Infrastructure

An Osaka-based investment holding group scaling production technology services under a group technology agenda. This leader turns architecture into dependable production operations.

Own production technology environment, infrastructure operations, information security and corporate IT, reporting to the CTO or CEO.

• Lead production deployment for web, APIs, AI services, databases and internal systems
• Own AWS, Azure or GCP environments across compute, networking, containers and cost
• Build CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automation, observability and incident response
• Operate AI platform infrastructure including model APIs, GPU inference and vector databases with unit-cost discipline
• Own IAM, MFA, encryption, secrets, vulnerability management and data protection
• Oversee corporate IT and technology vendors
• Design the operating model across DevOps, SRE, Cloud, Security and IT Support
• The Candidate
• Around ten or more years across IT infrastructure, cloud or DevOps, with leadership of an IT or technical operations function
• Hands-on accountability from Development through Staging to Production for business-critical services
• Deep expertise in at least one major cloud platform, plus Git, CI/CD, Docker and Infrastructure as Code
• Working knowledge of LLM and AI service operations sufficient to run production AI infrastructure
• Able to lead teams, manage vendors and budgets, and drive recovery during incidents
• Advantageous: Kubernetes, Terraform, SRE operating models, ISO 27001 or SOC 2, Japan vendor operating context; English for international engineering partners
• Remuneration and Benefits
• $116,000 package (client stated band JPY 9m to 13m; market may need to flex for this scope)
• Permanent full-time employment with three-month probation
